This is a Cache In Trash Out (CITO) event.
The park is near the edge of Polk City, Florida. It is a mile or so from General James A. Van Fleet State Trail which has many caches as a treat nearby. Mike Wallace, Parks Maintenance Manager, approved this event.
Adding a little puzzle fun. Thanks for Speedily collecting the trash. Your Willingness to collect the Tiniest items is greatly appreciated. Those are another way to find GZ.
What: CITO - Polk City Ball Park
Where: 5130 Duey Road with an entrance on Highway 33 - just north of Mount Olive Road (also known as Church Road)
When: Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Why: To enhance the beauty of this park
How:
- Mark will attend on the event
- Sign the log book if you like that style.
- Grab a bag or bring your own. During my last CITO, many cachers preferred grocery bags over large bags.. We emptied them into a large bag and refilled as needed.
- Grabbers will be available or you might want to bring your own.
- Gather any trash around the park.
- Bring it back to the GZ.
- Sanitize your hands. (Sanitizer will be available at the GZ.)
- Pose for our group photo. I try to take photos throughout the event also.
- Log your attendance on the app or online.
- Receive your smile.
- Bonus: Earn your CITO 2024 Season 1 souvenir!
