Do you love geocaching ?
Do you love tacos ?
Have you ever been interested in what they do at those new "axe throwing" places ?
Well, this is the event for you !!
Saturday, June 1, 2024, 1:00 pm till....whenever.
A Meet-n-Greet event at my place after a geocaching class event I'm hosting at the local library.
We will have a taco bar and "some" beverages. Feel free to bring your own drinks. And you might want to bring your own chairs, as I only have a few. I gave this event a 1.5 terrain rating because you would need to negotiate 4 steps to use the bathroom in the house.
I hope to have a couple new, local caches become active this day.
AND I have a thrown weapons range (axes, knives and spears) set up on the property and can give you introductory instruction in thrown weapons. I've done this for about 20 years, have taught about 300-400 people of all ages (the youngest was about 6 years old), and have taught at medieval re-creation groups, equestrian retreats and other venues. (See gallery pics).
If you plan to throw, please wear closed-toed shoes. Tennis shoes are ok, but sandals are not.
While not mandatory, it will really help if you respond that you are planning to attend. Include how many are in your party, as this will help me plan my shopping for the taco bar.
Hope to see you Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado geocachers. (And any vacationers passing through.)
