WCM Apr 24 - The Resurrection
Many years ago, BC (before Covid), we had Wirral Cacher Meets in various pubs around the area. They were usually on the first Monday of the month starting at 8pm. Initially there were full geocaching events, but later on they became simpler ‘non-smiley’ events so people could just to meet up and talk all things geocaching. Occasionally, to coincide with the event, a new cache would go live, but this was the exception rather than the norm.
There have been a few suggestion recently to resurrect these get-togethers, so here is the first. If successful I’ll be looking for volunteers to arrange them for future months.
When:
Monday 8th April 2024 from 8pm until 10pm.
Yes, that isn’t the first Monday of April. The 1st April is Easter Monday so this month it is a week later and hopefully a little quieter.
Where:
The Boathouse, Parkgate, Wirral
Details:
Everyone is welcome, not just Wirral Cachers.
Food is available until approximately 8:30pm
Children are welcome in the bar if accompanied by an adult.
Well behaved dogs are also welcome in the bar.
The Car Park is opposite the pub. It used to be monitored with the need to enter your registration into the system at the bar, but that has now ended – so no chance of being clamped (as mentioned on the car park signs!)
To help plan for the evening, please log a “Will attend” indicating how many are within your group. I’ll then inform them of numbers a few days in advance as the bar isn’t huge.
