St. Mary's Church has two church yards, the upper churchyard and the lower churchyard. The upper churchyard needs a bit of care and attention, and will be where we are working.
Please bring secateurs, scythes, loppers and gloves with you and any other useful tools with you! There is still plenty to do if you do not have your own tools too. There are still some brambles to clear but also ivy to gently remove from headstones, general clearing of leaves and tidying up. As we are in Spring we need to be mindful of any wildlife that could be nesting, so work on the day will be around this.
If you feel you can only do half an hour this is absolutely fine. Also, please do not worry about 'how much' work you can get done - you can choose what you feel you are able to do.
This event will count towards your CM finds total. This is why the cache is numbered '008' in the title, when it is actually the fifth one held at the St. Mary's chuch.
We will meet at the co-ordinates. If you arrive late please find us in the upper churchyard. So, from the main gates, walk with the war memorial on your left. To your right you will see about four steps going up into the upper churchyard, follow these and follow the footpath. You will soon find us.
There is a toilet at the church we can use, and we can also shelter in the office should it rain.
