Come join in a celebration of a day that will never come again in our lifetime!
We are asking that everyone bring a dish to share for a meal and game evening. Vegetable casseroles, baked beans, salad, fruit pies, chocolate cake... Meat will be provided, probably pork and chicken, maybe burgers and dogs. Plates, utensils and cups will be available. Water and coffee will be provided, but otherwise please bring your beverage of choice.
We will eat around 4 p.m. The food will be served outside, but (since it will almost certainly be fairly warm) eating will be inside, air conditioned.
This will be followed by games, mainly inside (board ?) games, but possibly an outdoor game or two.
You are not required to bring food, or to play games, but we would VERY much encourage everyone to come for at least a short visit, and would HIGHLY encourage you to eat and play and make this a day to remember. Besides, if you've ever been to one of my events (and probably all of you have), you KNOW something will be awarded for certain "accomplishments". Ah, but we're not telling yet!
Parking will be along the street. Please do not block any driveways and leave plenty of room in the roadway for neighbors to get through. You may park on the "No Parking" strip for this event, but at your own risk.
Logging your "Will Attend" gets you points. Telling us what you are bringing to share gets you points. Other means and methods for getting points will be announced as the evening goes on. The person with the most points at the close of the evning's event WILL be a big winner, with somewhat lesser gifts for 2nd and 3rd places.
