fitzy & minniek Get Married !
After several delays, minniek (Melissa) and fitzy_1965 (Gavin) are getting married ! And when and where could be better than when most of our wonderful Geocaching friends are in Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Event (GC9PNFB).
Gavin started geocaching in 2007, while Melissa started the hobby in 2016. We met at a geocaching event in 2016, and became an 'item' in early 2017. Engaged in 2020, we had a few dates picked to get married but Covid and other family activities got in the way. We finally picked Easter Saturday 2024 as the big day, here at Canberra Park as the site of the Capital GeoBash Event. We would like to thank the Capital GeoBash Oz Mega Committee and the Management and Staff of Canberra Park in agreeing to having the wedding here. A very special thankyou to our wonderful Reviewer Ngaambul for getting this special event through the hoops and published.
We ask that everyone who wishes to attend the ceremony please arrive and be seated by 2:45pm on Saturday 30th March 2024 in the main hall of Canberra Park. The ceremony will start at 3:00pm, and be conducted by fellow Geocacher Nibletricecakes / Aimee. The ceremony is planned to take about 30 minutes, followed by a short cake cutting activity and photographs.
Everyone attending the Capital GeoBash is welcome to join us for our big day. If you plan on attending, can you please put a Will Attend in for this event including numbers in your team (ie @2@). This is very important in order to have enough seats (and cake !) for everyone. Dress is Casual - Geocaching clothes are not only appropriate but encouraged. There will be a Wedding Guest Book acting as the log book for this event, and we welcome everyone to sign it on the day, as we will use this as a basis for our thank you's afterwards.
