Geocache Description:

14 April 2024, 14:00 - 16:00

WELCOME TO OUR SECOND CITO OF 2024! This year our goal is to continue hosting 4 CITOs a year, 1 per season!

This time we will be returning to Winery Road. We last visited here in January 2023, although at that time, we focused on the road and Snoqualmie Pt. Park. We received feedback that the road needed more attention than it got, so this time we will be facing solely on the road.

Attached above are images of the trash we collected during the January 2023 event. We will be contacting the City of Snoqualmie and/or King County to coordinate the removal of our trash bags.

This event is being held on International Good Deeds Day!

Winery Road - Event Coordinates: N 47° 30.678' W 121° 50.978'

We will be checking in at the posted coordinates at 2:00pm. From there, we will split up and collect litter from the road. At 3:45pm, we will take a group photo at the posted coordinates with our collection!!

Group Photo

Be sure to stay until the end of the event! We will take a group photo with all of the trash we have collected!

CITO Location Suggestion

If you have a suggestion for a future CITO location, please fill out this form: CITO Location Reccomendation. We are in need of location suggestions for future events.

Additional Info:

  • cachingcants will provide gloves, bags, and a limited supply of buckets and trash grabbers. Feel free to bring any of your equipment. We highly recommend bringing a high visibility safety vest for this event as people tend to not respect the speed limit on the road.
  • Be prepared for any type of weather. (We are in Washington after all!) Long pants may be helpful as some litter could have blown into bushes and thorns. Waterproof shoes or boots may be helpful if wet.
  • Trackables are welcome at this event and will have a designated drop-off and pick-up zone.
  • A light snack and bottled water will be provided.
  • Kids and pets are welcome.
  • There are quite a few caches nearby to add to your enjoyment.

Thank you for making our home a better place! smiley

This event is being hosted by a Washington State Geocaching Association member. If you are a geocacher in the state of Washington please consider joining the WSGA. Follow this link to visit our website to learn more about becoming a WSGA member.
