This is a war memorial that is set back from the main roads in this busy market town. If you follow the path some 500m southwest from Alameda Gate you will see the stone monument at the end of the avenue of trees on the edge of the Heath.
To claim this virtual you will need to answer two questions;
A)From the monument itself there is one name that received the Military Medal (M M) add together the total number of letters in that person’s name?
B) From the information board in the corner, what is the number and nationality of the forestry corps that were shipped into Ampthill to assist with the country‘s war efforts?
C) add a photo to your log of either your GPS or yourself at the war memorial (not mandatory😉, in accordance with logging guidelines a photo doesn't have to feature your face)
