Geocache Description:

04 May 2024, 09:15 - 10:15

This year Daddy renruts and I decided to reserve a campsite for the weekend and a pavilion for the day at Prince Gallitzin State Park.  We have Pavilion 1 from 8am until 8pm, so once again, we will host a caching event in the morning and from 11 onward we will be hosting a Parks on the Air pot luck.

If you are available on Saturday morning around 9am, please come out and say hi and share some caching stories and travel bugs while having a cup of coffee.  I am hoping to be able to pick up some local coffee and breakfast pastries, alas, if I don't have luck, I will bring the Keurig with me.  Bring your favorite hot drink travel mug to fill and anything special you like in your coffee.  I will have basic sugar and cream for those that wish to use it as well as some disposable coffee cups.

After our group photo around 10, I am planning on heading out for a day of hiking and caching and would love some company.  Feel free to stick around or use the pavilion as a home base for the day, just keep in mind that the Hams will be taking over and to be watchful for any wires/antennas they might put up.

By 5 I will return to the pavilion to hang out some more and eat whatever may be left.  While it isn't a necessity to sign in, the event book will be at the shelter all day as daddy renruts will be there for the rest of the day with his ham radio friends, and like cachers, they love to talk about their hobby and share it with others, so if you ever had any questions about ham radio, this is the perfect opportunity to come out and ask them.   Just let them know you are geocachers and interested in learning.

Also note, I love moving travel bugs and do a lot of traveling, so feel free to drop them off at any point in the day.  I will have a bin sitting with the logbook.
