CZ: Tento rok bude mnohými událostmi opravdu výjimečný. Bude výjimečný jak v geosvětě tak i ve světě hokejovém. Během května bude totiž Česká republika, konkrétně Praha a Ostrava, hostit Mistrovství světa v ledním hokeji. Rozhodli jsme se, že tato významná událost se musí využít a připravili jsme pro vás sérii několika keší po místech spjatých s hokejem v Praze. Připravili jsme keše různých typů, velikostí a obtížností o hokejových stadionech, pražských hokejových klubech i o významných událostích z historie hokeje. Pokud vše vyjde, připravíme pro vás i několik eventů s hokejovou tématikou a možná nejen v Praze. Jediné, co zajisté nepokryjeme, je Ostrava. Budeme moc rádi, pokud se k nám někdo z Ostravy připojí a vytvoří alespoň jednu hokejovou keš i v Ostravě.
Keše budou v nepravidelných intervalech vycházet od začátku ledna 2024 až do konce mistrovství světa. Celý projekt nese název GEOHOCKEY a všechny keše ze série poznáte právě podle toho, že jejich název začíná názvem celého projektu. V každém logbooku v každé keši naleznete bonusové číslo, které si samozřejmě nezapomeňte zapsat. Při mistrovství pak bude publikováno ještě několik keší s hokejovou tématikou, které ale již nebudou mít v názvu projekt GEOHOCKEY.

GEOHOCKEY: HC Letci Letňany
Hokejový klub HC Letci Letňany, z.s. byl založen v roce 2002 v městské části Prahy 9 v Letňanech. Klub hraje druhou ligu mužů, do níž se vrátil po krátké odmlce v regionálních soutěžích na startu sezony 2021/22. Hned v úvodním ročníku po návratu dokráčel do finále konference Sever, v sezoně 2022/23 skončil ve II. lize stříbrný. Letňany se proslavily výchovou talentů a reprezentantů. V mládežnických výběrech národního mužstva měly ve své historii nespočet zástupců, během MS do 20 let v roce 2021 figurovali v nominaci dokonce čtyři odchovanci Letců. V sezoně 2016/17 si Jakub Vrána jako první odchovanec v historii klubu zahrál NHL, když nastoupil za Washington.
Klub založili dva bratři František a Vojtěch Kučerovi. První zmiňovaný je zlatým medailistou z olympijských her v Naganu, druhý v současnosti působí jako šéf evropského skautingu pro Vegas Golden Knights v NHL. V roce 2020 došlo k prodeji organizace i celého areálu Ice Arena Letňany novému vlastníkovi. Na jaře roku 2021 klub představil svou novou identitu týkající se loga, kubových barev a dalších věcí souvisejících s marketingovou značkou. Letňany těží ze dvou krytých ledových ploch, díky kterým organizace může nastavit kategoriím pevný harmonogram. Ice Arena je navíc včetně samotných kluzišť v provozu celoročně, díky čemuž je možné vhodně kombinovat off-ice přípravu s tréninkem na ledě i během letní přípravy.

EN: This year is going to be really special with many events. It will be exceptional both in the geo world and in the hockey world. During May, the Czech Republic, specifically Prague and Ostrava, will host the Ice Hockey World Championship. We decided that this important event must be used and we have prepared a series of caches of places connected with hockey in Prague. We have prepared caches of different types, sizes and difficulties about hockey stadiums, Prague hockey clubs and important events in the history of hockey. If everything works out, we will prepare several events with hockey themes and maybe not only in Prague. The only thing we won't cover is Ostrava. We will be very happy if someone from Ostrava will join us and create at least one hockey cache in Ostrava.
The caches will be released at irregular intervals from the beginning of January 2024 until the end of the World Championship. The whole project is called GEOHOCKEY and all caches in the series can be recognized by the fact that their name starts with the name of the whole project. In each logbook, you will find a bonus number in each cache, which of course you must remember to write down. There will be a few more caches with hockey themes published during the championship, but they will no longer have the GEOHOCKEY project in the title.

GEOHOCKEY: HC Letci Letňany
The HC Letci Letňany, z.s. hockey club was founded in 2002 in the Letňany district of Prague 9. The club plays in the men's second league, to which it returned after a short break in regional competitions at the start of the 2021/22 season. Letňany is famous for nurturing talent and national team players. They have had countless representatives in the national team's youth selections throughout their history, with four Letňany offspring even featuring in the nomination during the U20 World Championship in 2021. In the 2016/17 season, Jakub Vrána was the first player in the club's history to play in the NHL when he played for Washington.
The club was founded by two brothers, František and Vojtěch Kučera. The former is a gold medalist at the Nagano Olympics, while the latter is currently the head of European scouting for the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL. In 2020, the organization and the entire Ice Arena Letňany complex will be sold to a new owner. In the spring of 2021, the club unveiled its new identity regarding the logo, cube colours and other things related to brand marketing. Letňany benefits from two indoor ice surfaces, which allow the organization to set a fixed schedule for the categories. In addition, the Ice Arena, including the rinks themselves, is open year-round, making it possible to conveniently combine off-ice preparation with on-ice training during the summer.
