The memorial was first unveiled on 21st November 1920, it cost £250 and the designer and mason was Mr Fred Baccus.a retired military man. In 1951 the lettering was repainted and in 1964 the memorial was moved 50 yards to make way for the new by-pass at which time it was cleaned and the World War 2 names were added. The design is of a wayside cross on a plinth
It is situated alongside the B1049. Water Lane and It is accessible from Station Road Histon.
To find the physical clues you will have to solve the below qusetions.
a = Number of letters in Mr Lees Christian name.
b = Number of letters in Ronalds surname
c = Number of letters in the first word the on the tall part of the plynth
d = Number of letters in the third word on the tall part ofthe plynth minus one
e = The base of the plynth has howmany sides? Halve this number for the value of "e"
f = On the memorial are two dates relating to the second world war. deduct the total of the second year from the first to get " f "
