CITO For Mont St. Quentin Reserve #1.
Greetings,
This location was originally a parade ground attached to the Ingleburn Defence Site, established in 1939. The main Defence Site catered to many troops in training and also the Military Police.
Since being decommisioned in 1998, the Defence Site has been assigned Heritage status whilst Mont St. Quentin Oval has reverted to a sporting/recreation field, which it originally was prior to 1939, for the burgeoning district's transformation to a plethora of new housing and amenities.
Join us as we continue the good deed of clearing away as much of the unnatural refuse and waste that we happen upon and which has clogged up certain parts of this reserve whilst, as always, enjoying plentiful good geo-chatter.
Location: Mont St. Quentin Oval, Bardia, 2565.
(Best parking along Arthur Allen Drive and Vevi Street).
Date/Time: Sunday 2nd June.
8:30am - 9:30am.
Bring/Wear: Sturdy Geo-shoes, hat, gloves, sunscreen, rubbish grabber, water.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Kindest Regards,
- Alephroom.
