Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, which are bogus.

The Legal chess position shown here is missing one piece. The white king (shown) is sitting on top of the flagpole of Canada's three time King (round both coordinates to dd°mm.mm0), and the black bishop (also shown) can be found 2.2189Km from that point at a bearing of 274.97°T (but don't bother visiting her: as you can see, she's very busy).

The treasure stash is with the missing piece, whose exact coordinates end with mm.mm1'N and mm.mm8'W.

The initial cache contents included of a number of higher than typical value items, reflecting the higher than average difficulty of finding the stash.

Notes:

  • "Legal" is defined as possible to occur during a real game of chess.
  • There is only one possible solution when abiding by the Rules of Chess. Really!
  • Due to the precision required, use of a calculator is recommended for any intermediate calculations, but your GPS unit can be used for the final cache waypoint projection.
