Have Chair, Wheel Cache Handicaching 101 and Fun Roll
We will gather at the Pavilion in Henderson's Fair Park, and learn about some of the challenges associated with geocaching while in a wheelchair.
What does "Wheelchair Accessible" really mean?
Can a cache be wheelchair accessible and be rated higher than a 1 terrain?
What are some things that prevent that 1/1 rated geocache from being wheelchair accessible?
After the discussions, we will have some examples in place for everyone to find. This will be the Fun Roll. Everyone is welcome to participate, preferrably in a wheelchair. Feel free to bring a wheelchair for the Fun Roll. This will give everyone an opportunity to experience what it is like for wheelchair-bound geocachers.
Some of these example caches in the Fun Roll part of the event will go live and be permanent smilies on your geo-map.
In the event of rain, we may get wet! Prepare for the weather conditions. And as always, bring a chair and something to drink.
