History of Vir.
Vir is a municipality (municipality) and a seaside resort
in Croatia
in the Zadar County.
It is located
on the island of the same name, about 20 km
northwest of Zadar.
In 2011, exactly 3,000 residents lived here permanently.
The highest point of the island is 122 meters above sea level
In addition to Vir itself, there are also the independent
settlements of Kozjak, Lozice and Torovi on the territory
of the municipality.
The island of Vir is one of the 1244 Croatian islands
and with an area of 22 km2;

than the island of Murterwith a length of 10.12 km and a width of
4.25 km, it has an incredible 31.94 km of coastline.
