Welcome to the Winter Solstice, the Midwinter; the Shortest Day; the Longest Night.
I know it's cold and there are probably other things you would rather be doing. But hey this is Canberra caching at its finest and I hope to draw as many out as possible before you retreat to your heated abodes and enjoy the warmth of your doonas during the "longest night".
Why not come along and enjoy a shortish get together with those friends that you normally only see during warmer times. Come and show that you're a seasonal all rounder and unite for just half an hour before returning to your hibernation.
