About the Station
Kampung Baru LRT Station is an underground rapid transit station in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, forming part of the Kelana Jaya Line. The Station was opened on 1 June 1999, as part of the line's second segment encompassing 13 stations between Masjid Jamek Station and Gombak Station and an underground line.
Kampung Baru LRT Station takes its name from Kampung Baru which is the Station located. Located on the southern edge of Kampung Baru, the Kampung Baru LRT station is located directly beside the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway and Klang River. The Station is primarily intended to serve the Kampung Baru area.
