The cache is on Core Path 306 in a sealed container. This path goes from the village of Heck to the Lochmaben Castle Loch Walk. The last few hundred yards to the cache site are only suitable for walkers and cyclists, beyond the cache only walkers. The Core Path becomes a grass track leading to 2 grass crop fields. The path at this point is not obvious but is arrowed to indicate a route around the perimiter of the fields and through 2 gates to join up with the Castle Loch walk. There may be farm animals grazing at times usually during the winter months. The Core path can be part of numerous circular wallks of various lenghts. Parking is limited to a layby near Heck or in Hightae and Lochmaben.
