„Baszta”
Był czas, że była to jedna z najmodniejszych i najchętniej odwiedzanych restauracji 🥧w Warszawie. Gościli się w niej prezydenci, koronowane głowy, aktorzy, sportowcy, piosenkarze, politycy, intelektualiści, kosmonauci, gangsterzy, rolnicy, górnicy, pasterze…oj chyba już za bardzo poleciałem… W każdym razie bywalcami byli znaczący i znani ludzie. Do dziś krążą historie jakie balety tam się odbywały…co się tam jadło i co się tam piło 🍸!!!
Sam budynek powstał w 1896 roku, a został zaprojektowany przez wybitnego architekta warszawskiego. Willa ze swoimi wieżyczkami, półokrągłymi oknami i basztą przypomina mały zamek.
W 1959 roku właściciel Stefan Staniszewski odremontował budynek i przekształcił go w lokal gastronomiczny. W salach umieścił antyki, poroża, boazerię i wypchane zwierzęta, ale co najważniejsze same serwowane dania były na najwyższym perfekcyjnym poziomie. Na stołach gościły polskie specjały jak dziki, drób, nóżki w galarecie, kaczki, bażanty, ale najsłynniejsze było prosię🐷 pieczone w całości. Niestety wraz
z końcem PRL „Baszta” straciła swój dawny blask i podupadła. Bywalcy skarżyli się na niską jakość potraw i czystość w lokalu, a „Kuchennej revolution” jeszcze nie było…Tak więc klops i po pięćdziesięciu latach funkcjonowania Baszta zamknęła swoją działalność….Zameczek choć niszczeje od lat w dalszym ciągu jest urokliwy, może jeszcze kiedyś znajdzie się inwestor i powrócą tu Qchenne zapachy?

„baszta” („Tower”)
Once upon a time, it was the most fashionable and the most visited restaurants 🥧in Warsaw. It used to host the crowned heads, presidents, actors, sportsmen, singers, politicians, intellectuals, cosmonauts, gangsters, farmers, miners, shepherds… Alright, I guess I crossed the line here… Anyway, the regulars consisted of VIPs. Till this day, we can hear the stories about the parties that were taking place at this restaurant, as well as what kind of food or drinks were consumed🍸!!!
The place was built in 1896, and the building was designed by a prominent architect from Warsaw. Thanks to its turrets, half-round windows and tower, the villa resembles a small castle.
In 1959 the owner Stefan Staniszewski renovated the building and turned it into the catering establishment. In the halls, he placed antiques, antlers, wood paneling and stuffed animals in the rooms, but most importantly, the dishes themselves were of the highest perfection. The tables were full of Polish delicacies such as wild boars, poultry, legs in jelly, ducks, pheasants, but the most famous was the whole roasted suckling pig 🐷. Unfortunately, with the end of the Polish People's Republic period, “Baszta” lost its old splendor and fell into decline. The regulars were complaining on the low quality of the dishes and the cleanliness in the premises. After all, there was no „Kitchen Nightmares” at that time, and as a result the restaurant have been closed after 50 years of functioning… Although with the passing time the small castle is constantly deteriorating, it is still charming. Perhaps it will be noticed by some investor, and the kitchen smells will be back here again?
