Welcome to West Linton, this cache focuses on the War Memorial. The memorial is a central ashlar pylon with recumbent flanking stone blocks with a bronze inscription plate fixed to pylon with ornamental carved stone garland surround on top and sides. The memorial is set within an ornamental triangular garden within the road fork.
To find the coordinates for the final cache are N 55 44.ABC W 003 21.DEF.
A = Number of letters in the surname of the first hero listed in the left hand column of the Great War plaque
B = Number of letters in the first name of the first hero listed in the left hand column of the the WW2 plaque.
C = Number of letters in the first name of the last hero listed in the right hand column of the Great War plaque.
D = Number of letters in the penultimate word on the WW2 plaque.
E = Number of letters in the first name of the fourth hero listed in the left hand column of the Great War plaque
F = Number of letters in the surname of the thirteenth hero listed in the left hand column of the Great War plaque.
The final is a short walk away and is a magnetic nano. You will need to bring your own pen, and may additionally require tweezers to extract the log.
