Geocache Description:

Jebel Hafit is a 1km high lump of limestone 20km to the south of Al Ain on the UAE - Oman border. A winding road that is a wonder of planning and engineering provides easy accesses to the mountain. If you fancy a real challenge then try biking up or you can join the annual run to the top. The exposure of the mountain makes for great GPS reception. Please be careful of your footing when looking for the cache, particularly the loose gravel.

The cache is the usual 'Lunchbox' Tupperware affair and contains a variety off goddies of all shapes and sizes including the 'Where's George Bill' we brought out from the UK. As the driving in the UAE is (ahh hem) 'interesting' we made sure that the cache could be reached from one of the well maintained car parks and there is definitely no need to walk on the road. To really make the most of Jebel Hafit we recommend that you time to be on the top of the mountain for sunset when you can see the sun setting over the sea of dunes. A fantastic sight.
