During the Vietnam-American War, Vietnamese resisters in the southern portion of the country hand-dug an extensive tunnel system throughout this area, allowing them to live and to travel underground, and to sneak out at hidden access points throughout the land. Americans apparently unwittingly built a base right on top of part of this system.
An entry fee is required here, where visitors can crawl through some of the actual tunnel system and view the techniques used by a resourceful army to combat its serious technological disadvantage. You will probably be required to stay on the tour; so make sure to have your GPSr ready as you are led through the site. WARNING: There may be multiple tour paths here, and I cannot be responsible for whether your tour guide takes you to the geocache site. Sluniq says that you want to go to Ben Dinh and not Ben Duoc.

Cu Chi Tunnelsystem
