This is a Multi cache. It is not at the published co-ordinates. Use the waypoints to visit the war memorial in the churchyard, a Commonwealth War Grave and other features around the church to gather some information to allow you to calculate the final co-ordinates.
Whittingham’s main war memorial is a simple sandstone cross dedicated to the 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 wars within St Bartholomew’s churchyard. Inside the church (which is usually open) you will find further details of the servicemen and women from the vicinity who fought and died in both wars. Please take the time to have a look if you can, as both the memorials and church interior are interesting. The memorial cross dates from 1949.
