Church Micro 14520...Newton Aycliffe - Latter-Day
The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Newton Aycliffe is a relatively modern church, having been completed on the 22nd of December 1962. During the construction of the church, much of the work was actually completed by American Missionaries, also with the church members contributing under the guidance of the developers. The building contains numerous facilities, including a chapel, cultural/sports hall, stage, classrooms, baptismal font, family history centre and general amenities. In more recent times, the church has seen major refurbishments. Most notably, it underwent an extensive £1 million refurbishment between November 2000 and December 2001. The church forms part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which is a nontrinitarian, Christian church that considers itself to be the restoration of the original church founded by Jesus Christ.
Onto the cache. The cache is a micro plastic tube located just off the path and not inside the church's grounds or carpark, so you do not need to enter that area or go beyond the fence. More info is in the hint if needed, as the coordinates can get a bit iffy under the trees. Other than that, happy caching!
