This is the BIshopstoke War Memorial- currently sited next to our Memorial Hall (there is also a cache on the hall GC83MBE which you might want to collect, if you have not yet done so, whilst you are here.
This memorial was unveiled on 16th June 2000.
There are 33 names from the FIrst World War (1914-1918) and 28 from Second World War (1939-1945)
If you are picking this geocache up because you have a passion for War Memorials then I would strongly urge you to look at The Bishopstoke History webpage where you can read the stories behind the names you see here and also read the stories of the men- and woman- who for some reason were not included on this memorial yet still gave their lives for their country.
To find this cacne you will need a few bits of information from the memorial:
A The number of birds on the granite memorial book
B The number of y men named William who are remembered across the three memorial tablets
C The number of middle initials that Jack Spreadbury had
D On the back of the granite pedestal please ignore the & and count how many words there are here
E The number of men named Robert who are rememberd across the three memorial tablets
The sum of A-E is 16 (so you can check your answer)
Once you have these then put them into this:
N50 BD.CAA
W001 CE.CCB
The final for this cache is very close- please take care as there is a busy road here and a river.
“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Just-Us-Two know first at justustwo1013@gmail.com so they can keep track of the memorial numbers and names to avoid any duplication".
