Bicycle bridge Vysomarch - Cyclomost Vysomarch Description: The new Vysomarch bicycle bridge connects the villages of Marchegg and Vysoká pri Morave. It was set up with support from the EU. From 1271-1584 there was a bridge over the Morava. Then there was a ferry until 1918 - the name Überfuhrgasse is a reminder of this. There was an inn on the Slovak side. The customs guard memorial was erected at this point in 1955. For a long time you could only see Slovakia from here. The storks were the only border crossers. Only after the border was opened and with the development of cycle paths on the Slovakian side could you also see Marchegg from there. We were able to do this for the first time from the geocache Most Marchegg -GC6593Q. On the Slovak side there is a cycle route C (EuroVelo13) north to Záhorská Ves (from there you can take the roller ferry to Angern or further to Hohenau). South leads to the Cycle Bridge of Freedom (Cyklomost slobody) and Castle Schloßhof and Devínska Nová Ves.
