The Event
We will meet outside the main entrance of Highgate Cemetery, Swain's Lane, London N6 6PJ. The log book will be available outside the cemetery.
I am visiting London for Towel Day (see below) and hope to meet London cachers at this event who love their hobby of geocaching as much as I do. I look forward to learning more about caching in London and the UK. And hopefully you will bring along lots of trackables to be discovered. ;-)
I will travel from Switzerland. If I can bring something for you from this small country, mention it in your "Will attend" log - I'll do what I can to organize it. (I'm traveling by plane, so things like a Swiss Army Knife are not such a good idea ;-)
Parking: "As there is no off-street visitor parking, we encourage you to leave your car at home if possible. Parking restrictions are in place on the surrounding streets between 10am and 12 noon Monday to Friday. [...]"

Towel Day
May 25 is celebrated by fans of author Douglas Adams as Towel Day, because as you probably know, in the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" it says: "A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. [...]".
After the event all participants are invited to visit the grave of Douglas Adams with me. This is an an optional activity.
I have received maps from the cemetery administration showing where the grave is located in the eastern part. As cachers we should be able to find the grave. The entrance fee is 4.50 GBP. At the moment it is not possible to buy tickets on site because of Covid-19 and the entrance will be staggered. I hope this will be different on the day of the event. I will keep you updated here.
Update May 16 2022: Admission is by timed ticket which you can purchase here or upon arrival. Douglas Adams' grave is located on the East Cemetry.
