Good Things Come in Trees

Saturday 29th January 2022
Welcome to Good Things Come in Trees!
For this CITO, we will join other muggle volunteers to help with some tree planting in the heart of historic Bishop’s Stortford.
We’ll meet shortly before 1000am (to sign the log,) then receive our briefing from our host Colin at 1000, then work through for a couple of hours planting trees in Castle Park.
Colin and his team will provide all equipment required, though he does ask, if you are able to, please bring your own gloves.
Please also wear appropriate clothing and sensible footwear. The event will proceed in any weather unless there are high winds or storms. If the event is cancelled for any reason, I will make an announcement accordingly.
I anticipate this CITO will have appropriate tasks for almost any ability level.
IMPORTANT:
* If you are able, please bring your own gloves.
* Please indicate your ‘will attend’
...so we have an idea of numbers and you will receive any updates to proceedings. Experience has shown this is often the case!
Parking
Sadly, there is no free parking anywhere that I am aware of in the centre of Bishop’s Stortford. I have added waypoints for two paid car parks very close to the CITO, as suggested by our host. From local knowledge, I am aware that there is free street parking on many roads 10-15 minutes walk away, although this may take some research - any questions, please contact me.
For those taking public transport, the CITO is 5 minutes from rail and bus links.
Health and Safety
All health and safety rules apply. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
Everyone is welcome - including any visitors just passing by :-)
Any more questions, please get in touch!
Thanks for reading this, and hope to see you there!
