Deep Water Trail Camp
Saturday January 22nd 10am (event log book available 10-11am)
Bring a chair and a story or two to share...
The years 2020 and 2021 were pretty much a thief. For example, 100k finds, a little over a decade in the making... right when events where halted a little bit.
100,000 finds. Wow. Like, that blows my mind.
And it deserves to be celebrated.... like, a weekend long celebration, AT LEAST!
So RangerFox, this one is for YOU.
Event is only Saturday morning (event log available 10-11am) ... but we have an optional full weekend of fun planned.
We'll be camping at Deep Water Trail Camp for the weekend. Car camping, because,well... it's January and I'm not a cold weather fan.
I think there has been an event hosted here in the past and lots of people loved it. So we are going with what we know. :)
Friday night is campfire and marshmallows.... Primitive cooking is always fun. Bring your dutch oven and join in on a best-recipe showdown.
Saturday morning- how's your coffee? Instant, french-press? Slow drip? Is that a flask hovering over your cup, dude?? lol
What's your favorite campfire breakfast??
Event at 10am, where we'll stand around holding said coffee cup and sort out the details of who found it first and who spent several hours and several trips wherever and still came out with a DNF....
The rest of the Day:
There's a lake there... and some trails. Spend the day as you wish... lots of places to explore.
Saturday night. Another bonfire. More marshmallows. Anybody got a guitar? Because that would be cool... I can bring my spoons. :)
Sunday morning.... no rush, no hurry.... no loud noises too early in the morning, though.
Again, all are welcome to join in either for the event on Saturday morning or for the whole weekend.... Bring your stories, bring your maps and your future plans.... bring a chair and hang out for a while. Of all the stories Fox has to tell, I'm sure each and every one of us have a tiny part of them... I know I have a few to share... a few I may need to censor my language when telling, too. hahaha
So again, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to RangerFox for such an amazing accomplishment!! *mind blown*
