Event: City of Spokane Parks and Recreation - Geocaching CITO
Where: The corner of E South Riverton and Magnolia in Spokane (Posted Coordinates)
When: Sunday, December 5th @ 3PM
I have been contacted by the City of Spokane Parks Department with a request to hold a CITO event and help clean-up a problem area for them.
We will be picking up trash on a piece of property that belongs to the City of Spokane along the Spokane River (E South Riverton Blvd). Please dress warm for the weather as we will be outside. You can bring gloves and a trash grabber if possible. I am working with our parks department contact to make arrangements for us to have them provide supplies.
There should be caches in the area and I will also have merchandise from the WSGA for anybody that is interested in getting early presents for the holidays.
We will have a page with the Galaxy Portal hosted by the City of Spokane Parks and Recreation that will allow us to sign up and log our volunteer hours. If you would like to participate in accumulating hours individually and for our group, please contact me to get logged in. I will post a link on this page as soon as our page is update. This will also allow us to promote our events to all people that participate in programs with the parks department. Participation in the portal is voluntary and is not required to attend our event.
