Welcome to the 2022 version of Take a hike with Sequoia. This year we will be returning to our favorite hike in the morning followed by another hike after the lunch event at a nearby State Park. ( Conkles Hooler, Natural Bridge or Cantwell Cliffs ) all three are beautiful and scenic areas. The one we pick will be a majority vote amoungst the attendees.
The Event itself is a lunch break event in the middle of the hike at the plunge pool of Cedar Falls. Three years ago, I held an event here and everything was frozen solid except a little running water under the ice. I am hoping for a repeat of that but we will take what we can get. Please pack a lunch if you want. You must carry your own food as most likely your mother won't be on this hike. If she is and you can talk her into carrying your food, knock yourself out. The cordinates may be off as tree cover and rocky canyons mess with gps signals but rest assured, The event will be on the plunge pool if the ice is thick enough or on the sand bar right next to the falls. There is closer parking if you don't want to do the hike, but it is still a bit of a steep hike to GZ. The event Begins at 12:45 pm ends at 1:30. For those wishing to hike, I will post an announcement log with the meet time as we get closer but it will likely be 9:15am. If you have never done this trail before, you are in for a treat. At least 5 waterfalls, a cave type tunnel, virgin trees, hundred foot cliffs above you all in some of the best scenery in oHio.Please post will attend logs if you are thinking you might come so you will be notified of all announcements.

Just ask WV Cachers3 about not wearing them, (I use micro spikes) poles or hiking stick, foam seat pad to insulate your dairy air from the ice. hand sanitizer, Masks if you can't stay 6' apart will be appreciated and whatever you do, don't forget to charge your camera
