Welcome to the 2021 gift exchange. Keep reading on and you'll learn all about the who, where, when and how the gift exchange will work.
Everyone is welcome, doesn't matter if you're a veteran cacher, very new cacher, or just a family member of a cacher who just wants to grab a bite and do some holiday shopping, people interested in a gift exchange, and people not interested in the gift exchange who only want a smiley.
It'll be in the dining pavilion at Woodfield Mall. It is on the second level above Entry 5, between Macy's and Enterrium. We will be towards the back of the dining pavilion by the big windows
The event is on December 5 from 2 pm to 2:45 pm. Important note, if you want to be part of the gift exchange, the actual exchange will start at 2:30
If you only want to come for the smiley, it'll be just like any other event. Just show up, talk with cachers, etc. If you want to be part of the gift exchange, first you'll have to bring a gift and place it on the designated table (more details to follow on appropriate gifts to bring). Everyone participating will select a random number from a basket, and that will determine the order of picking a present from the table.
For the present, it has to be geocaching related. There's no limit on what you can bring, but it has to be more than just a pill bottle. It can be unactivated trackables, fake rocks, TOTT's, swag, bison tubes, etc.
So to sum things up, you don't have to participate in the gift exchange to attend, but if you do want to participate the exchange starts at 2:30, half an hour after the event starts.
