Slēpnis tiem kuriem ar parastajiem brikšņainajiem slēpņiem ir par maz. Ja dosies pēc slēpņa ar kājām tad varēsi izbaudīt Gaujas grīvas neskarto dabu pēc pilnas programmas. Auto var nolikt Carnikavā pie gājēju tilta un tālāk pāri tiltam un pa Gaujas labo krastu doties slēpņa virzienā. Labais krasts ir zems, to klāj reizēm applūstošs mežs, krūmāji un niedrāji ar dažām vecupju paliekām. Slēpnis atrodas uz mazas koku saliņas kuru atdala niedrājs un vecupe. Pie zema ūdenslīmeņa varbūt var tikt sausām kājām, pie augstāka nāksies brist. Sliņķu variants ir piebraukt ar laivu no Gaujas.

The right bank is low, covered with periodically flooded forest, shrubs and reeds with some remnants of old riverbeds. The hide is located on a small island separated by a reeds and an old river. At low water levels you may be able to keep your feet dry, at higher levels you will have to wade. The lazy option is to go by boat from the Gauja river.
