Ejot no Siguldas, vienubrīd tu esi dabiskajās pļavās, kur pavasaros un vasarās priecē ziedu pārbagātība un, ja paveicas, var sastapt arī aitas, kazas un pa kādai stirnai. Svarīgi zināt, ka dabiskie zālāji līdz ar tropiskajiem lietus mežiem ir sugām bagātākās ekosistēmas uz mūsu Zemes, taču to platības pēdējos gados Latvijā ir būtiski sarukušas. Tad, šķērsojot Nurmižupītes tiltiņu, tu nonāc pilnīgi citā vidē, kas skaidrojams ar līdzās esošo Nurmižu gravu rezervātu. Taču lai sargātu īpaši trauslo vidi un kultūras vērtības, tā ir pasludināta par īpaši aizsargājamu dabas teritoriju, kuras apmeklējums ir pieļaujams tikai ar Dabas aizsardzības pārvaldes atļauju.
Slēpņa apraksts: Pirmais slēpnis ir normāla izmēra, stikla konteineris, uz tā atrodas fināla slēpņa koordinātas. Fināla slēpnis ir tumša pet preforma, tajā iekšā ir viesu grāmata un zīmulis. Lūgums slēpni nolikt atpakaļ precīzā atrašanas vietā.
Slēpnis ir daļa no slēpņu sērijas „MEŽTAKA”. Mežtaka ir Eiropas garās distances pārgājienu maršruta E11 daļa Baltijas valstīs, kas ved cauri Latvijas, Lietuvas un Igaunijas skaistākajiem mežiem un nacionālajiem parkiem. Mežtakas Ziemeļu daļas posmā no Vecrīgas līdz Igaunijas robežai, kurš izstrādāts ar Eiropas Reģionālās attīstības fonda Centrālā Baltijas jūras reģiona pārrobežu sadarbības programmas 2014.–2020. gadam finansiālu atbalstu, izvietoti 45 slēpņi. Iesakām apvienot slēpņu meklēšanu ar pastaigu pa kādu no 15 ainaviskajiem Mežtakas Ziemeļu daļas posmiem.

Description of the place: In the 5th section of the Forest Trail, you will visit two extremely different habitats. It is important to know that natural grasslands, along with tropical rain forests, are the most prolific ecosystems on our Earth, but their areas have fallen significantly in Latvia in recent years. When you cross the bridge of the Nūrmiži River, you come into a completely different environment, which is explained by the adjacent Nūrmiži Ravine Reserve. However, in order to protect the particularly fragile environment and cultural values, it has been declared a specially protected nature area, the visit of which is permitted only with the permission of the Nature Conservation Board.
Description of the geocache: The first stage is a normal size glass container, on it are coordinates for the final stage. The final geocache is a dark pet preform, it includes a guestbook and a pencil. Please return the geocache to the original location.
The geocache is part of the “Mežtaka” series of geocaches. The Forest Trail is a part of the European long-distance hiking route E11 in the Baltic States, which runs through the most beautiful forests and national parks of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. In the northern part of the Forest Trail created with the financial support of the Transborder Cooperation Programme for 2014–2020 of the European Regional Development Fund for the Central Baltic Sea Region 45 geocaches have been deployed between the Old Riga and the Estonian border. We recommend combining the geocache search with a walk through one of the 15 landscape sections of the northern part of Northern part of the Forest Trail.
