Welcome back Canadian Geocachers, we've missed you!
Please join us for a lighted boat parade to kick off GUIE weekend. On the water activities will start at 6:00 pm. Be ready to line up for the parade at 6:30 and we'll likely be wrapped up by 7:30 or 7:45. The event takes place at the public boat launch off Route 27. Since last year was a bit wet, the theme this year will be the same as last year: What is your signal tuned to? What kind of caching do you like the best?
The Flagstaff Floatilla IX - Return of Signal will begin at the boat launch on Route 27 and proceed under the under the bridge and into Flagstaff Lake. Decorate your boat, canoe or kayak or other vessel of your choice with lights of your choice. The length of the trip will depend on the weather and lake conditions but it will be held rain or shine.
Come join the fun and either watch from the landing or be a participant. Appropriate safety gear and PFDs are required. Prizes for the best Signal and for best represetation of your favorite kind of caching will be handed out based on creativity and originality. Looking forward to all joining in on the fun.
