Please join us as we assist the Municipality of East Hants clean up the Exits along Highway 102 that pass through this area. This C.I.T.O Event will be held on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 10:00 - 12:30 p.m. @ Exit 10- Shubenacadie/ Maitland.
The Municipality started sponsoring groups in the area to clean up the exits back in the spring, so this will be the fall version of that initiative.
Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal have provided maps of the areas where we can and cannot go, and the Municiplaity will be supplying all of the required saftey gear, gloves, bags etc. and will gather all of the items we collect for proper disposal at the East Hants Waste Management Facility.
Additionally, this an opportunity for the Association of Nova Scotia Geocaching to be a recipient of a Municiple Grant for our efforts.Â
This event is open to participants 16 years of age or older and dogs may not attend.
The posted coordinates are a great parking spot and there is additional parking on the East side of Hwy 102.
This CITO event will also gain you a souvenir for the 2021 CITO Season 2!!Â
