It's time for the 8th Annual Berea Chamber of Commerce Geocaching Weekend CITO!
What better way to wrap up our weeked of fun and play than to clean up our playground (earth) with a Cache In, Trash Out (CITO) event.
Each year we add more caches to our Official Berea Chamber of Commerce GeoTour. This CITO event will lead you to places that traditionally have reputations of being locations in need of routine trash pick up in or around Berea, KY. Get ready to clean up litter and abandoned debris as you search for our new CITO caches when they launch (we have geocaches scheduled to publish for the CITO). This Sunday morning event will originate in the parking lot of The Pinnacles hiking trails (Indian Fort Mountain) in Berea, KY and expand from there. Go it solo, or grab a clean up crew to team up with and let's leave Berea, KY cleaner than we found it on Friday night.
Join us to meet and greet geocachers from near and far to participate in a cache in, trash out geocaching event. Make new friends and learn fun facts about your fellow geocachers who attend. (Helpful tip: Wear old clothes and durable shoes that you don't mind getting wet and dirty. Dress in layers as this is an outdoor event and the weather in KY can change daily. Consider bringing a poncho or raincoat also.)
This CITO Event will be the wrap up event after a weekend-long schedule that had been packed with other great events too (like daytime caching and night-time caching) that you didn't want to miss! The Berea Chamber of Commerce in Berea, KY is host to an Official Geocaching GeoTour. Each year we add geocaches to the tour. Each year offers a specific passport, with specific caches to find and tasks to accomplish (we call them Expedition Guides). All of our previous years' passports/guides and their related souvenirs are still available. The Berea Chamber of Commerce encourages you to complete these as you make visits to Berea, KY and take pride in earning our locally artisan crafted souvenirs.

Friday October 15th: 8-10pm / Community Celebration Event at Berea City Park (picnic shelter behind pool) *log separately
Saturday October 16th: 8:30am-9:30am / Daytime Caching Event at Berea Chamber parking area (424-B Chestnut St in Berea, KY) *log separately
Saturday October 16th: 6pm-7pm / Nigh-time Caching Event at Berea Artisan Center parking area (200 Artisan Way in Berea, KY) *log separately
Sunday October 17th: 9am launch / CITO Event meeting at The Pinnacles parking area (2047 Big Hill Road in Berea, KY)
Sunday October 17th: 2pm / Grand Finale Awards Ceremony (location announced at event)
