It's time for the 8th Annual Berea Chamber of Commerce Geocaching Weekend Daytime Caching Event!
Each year we add more caches to our Official Berea Chamber of Commerce GeoTour. This event enables you to be in Berea, KY and ready to search for our new daytime caches as they launch. This Saturday morning event will be held at the Berea Chamber of Commerce parking area in Berea, KY just before the geocaches launch and geocachers head out for the day to locate brand new geocaches.
Join us to meet and greet geocachers who came from near and far to participate in this annual geocaching event. Make new friends and learn fun facts about your fellow geocachers who attend. Go solo or find a geocaching buddy to explore the region with. (Helpful tip: bring your geocaching tools of the trade and dress in layers as this is an outdoor event and the weather in KY can change daily.)
This Daytime Geocaching Event will be the launch of new geocaches amongst a weekend-long schedule with more great events to come (like night-time caching and a CITO) that you don't want to miss! The Berea Chamber of Commerce in Berea, KY is host to an Official Geocaching GeoTour. Each year we add geocaches to the tour. Each year offers a specific passport, with specific caches to find and tasks to accomplish (we call them Expedition Guides). All of our previous years' passports/guides and their related souvenirs are still available. The Berea Chamber of Commerce encourages you to complete these as you make visits to Berea, KY and take pride in earning our locally artisan crafted souvenirs.
2021 Berea Chamber Annual Geocaching Weekend Schedule:
Friday October 15th: 8-10pm / Community Celebration Event at Berea City Park (picnic shelter behind pool) *log separately and earn a virtual souvenir
Saturday October 16th: 8:30am-9:30am / Daytime Caching Event at Berea Chamber parking area (424-B Chestnut St in Berea, KY)
Saturday October 16th: 6pm-7pm / Nigh-time Caching Event at Berea Artisan Center parking area (200 Artisan Way in Berea, KY) *log separately
Sunday October 17th: 9am launch / CITO Event meeting at The Pinnacles parking area (2047 Big Hill Road in Berea, KY) *log separately
Sunday October 17th: 2pm / Grand Finale Awards Ceremony (location announced at event)
