Ocklawahaboy's Riverboat Rally is back on the Ocklawaha.Â
Join us on Saturday morning for some downstream navigation, friendly banter and stuffing for your belly. We'll start at Ray Wayside Park. The total paddle is 10-12 miles long, ending at Gore's Landing. We will need to work together to be able to shuttle people back to their cars at the start. It will be helpful if people are able to park their vehicle at Gores Landing and get a ride to the starting point at Ray Wayside Park to start the paddle. Both parking lots have a $5 fee. There is a cash honor box to pay. Please be sure to have the excact amount.
I suggest launching your boat by about 8:30a.m. This should get you to the event site at about 10:00 a.m. to refuel our engines (us) and generally hang about until 10:30. Then back in the water we go to continue on for a couple more hours. The entire paddle should take 5-6 hours. There will be new caches along the way to find.
The event coords are on the edge of public property along the river bank and are only accessible by boat. Any approaches from the road would cross private property. DO NOT try to reach the event location by land!
