Nostāstos arī minēts, ka avotam ziedoti dzīpari un nauda un ka tuvējie saimnieki apkārtni īpaši kopuši. Mūsu senči ticēja, ka koki un akmeņi, birzis un meži, pakalni un ūdens ir apveltīti ar brīnumainām spējām, kas palīdz dziedināt slimības, sargā no nelaimēm, kā arī nodrošina veselību un auglību. Mežtaka ir Eiropas garās distances pārgājienu maršruta E11 daļa Baltijas valstīs, kas ved cauri Latvijas, Lietuvas un Igaunijas skaistākajiem mežiem un nacionālajiem parkiem. Mežtakas Ziemeļu daļas posmā no Vecrīgas līdz Igaunijas robežai, kurš izstrādāts ar Eiropas Reģionālās attīstības fonda Centrālā Baltijas jūras reģiona pārrobežu sadarbības programmas 2014.–2020. gadam finansiālu atbalstu, izvietoti 45 slēpņi. Iesakām apvienot slēpņu meklēšanu ar pastaigu pa kādu no 15 ainaviskajiem Mežtakas Ziemeļu daļas posmiem.

Description of the place: Walking through the Forest Trail, there are no hints that the forest hides ancient cult sites shrouded in myths and legends, but 100 meters away from the Forest Trail is a place where the Pobrenči Holy Spring was located. It is said that the water was used for healing, especially during the spring solstice, and people used to sing and dance next to it on name days and birthdays, Jāņi (the Summer Solstice celebration), Pentecost, and they were also taking baths there on Māras Day. Stories also mention that woollen yarn and money were donated to the spring, and that the surrounding area was maintained with care by the nearby farmers. Our ancestors believed that trees and rocks, groves and forests, hills and water were endowed with miraculous powers to heal illness, protect against misfortune, and ensure health and fertility. Today, a nature sanctuary may at first glance look like a simple rock or mountain, but the tales and myths passed down from generation to generation tell a different story. They are fascinating testimonies to our ancestors' ancient history and understanding of the power of nature and the interrelationships between humans and the gods.

The cache is a part of the “The Forest Trail” cache series. The Forest Trail is a part of the European long-distance hiking route E11 in the Baltic States, which leads through the most beautiful forests and national parks of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The project, which has been developed with the financial support of the European Regional Development Fund Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020, includes 45 cache places in the northern part of the Forest Trail from Old Riga to the Estonian border. We recommend combining cache hunting with a walk along one of the 15 scenic sections of the northern part of the Forest Trail.
