Geocache Description:

Napoleon American Legion Barry Hoof Post #72

Welcome!

Updated regularly, this Veterans Memorial Wall lists all veterans from the Napoleon area. This is a beautiful well maintained place to stop. For those interested in history, this site also hosts a military tank.

This is a quiet area of Napoleon unless you are coming to the Napoleon American Legion for the annual Polka Party or a German Hochzeit (wedding)!

Barry Hoof Post #72 was issued a charter October 17, 1919 and was named after two highly respected young men, Grover Cleveland Barry and Charles Veit Hoof both born within a mile of Napoleon, and both of whom  died during WWI in France. The Barrys and Hoofs located in Logan County were among the earliest settlers in 1885.

Permission to place cache was granted by the maintainer of the Veteran site. No TOTT are required. Remember if you find the cache to replace it as found. Spoilers will be deleted. Pen/pencil provided. Container contains swag. May be winter friendly dependent upon amount of snow received. Good spot for small TB's.

Trade evenly and log all TB's. Please report any problems you may encounter.

Thanks for taking the time to hunt for this geocache. Keep on Caching!
