Plungės lobiai: Šventoriaus multituras (1) Multi-Cache

[LT]  „Plungės lobiai“ – geolobiavimo turas Plungėje, apjungiantis 8 miesto kultūros paveldo ir istorinės atminties vietas. Dvi geolobių vietos turi savo multiturus, skirtus UNESCO paveldui – kryždirbystei.
Suradę visus 8 lobiukus, užsirašę slaptavietėse parašytus kodus ir pateikę juos Plungės r. sav. v. bibliotekoje (Parko g. 7), Vaikų bibliotekoje (Laisvės al. 19) arba turizmo informacijos centre (Dariaus ir Girėno g. 27), galite pasiimti dovanėlę – CITO geokeliauninką (trackable) ir kryždirbystės turui skirtą medinę geomonetą.

[EN] "Plungė's Treasures" is a gecaching tour in Plungė, combining 8 places of the city's cultural heritage and historical memories. The two geolocation sites have their own multiturs, which are dedicated to the UNESCO heritage - cross-stitching.
Once you have found all 8 geocaches, as well as,  have taken and written down the codes which have been found in the hiding places, you are ready to presented them in several places in order to receive the price which is a trackable CITO tag and a wooden geocoin dedicated for the cross-stitch tour. Those places are:  Plunge Public Library (Parko str. 7), Children's Library (Laisvės al. 19) or Tourism Information Center (Dariaus ir Girėno str. 27).

[LT] Šventoriaus multituras. Lobis paslėptas vietoje, kurios koordinatės užkoduotos. Norėdami jas iššifruoti, turite aplankyti 5 objektus ir atlikti nesudėtingas užduotėles. Galutinės slėptuvės koordinatės apskaičiuojamos pagal formulę, atlikus aritmetinius veiksmus:

[EN] The geocache is hidden in numbers-coded coordinates. To decode them, you have to visit 5 objects and complete simple tasks. Final coordinates are calculated by formula after completing arithmetic tasks:

[LT] Plungės Šv. Jono krikštytojo bažnyčia ir varpinė. Pirmoji bažnyčia Plungėje stovėjo jau XVI a. II p. Nėra išlikusių žinių, ar ją įsteigė katalikai ar evangelikai reformatai.

1797 m. – pastatyta vėlesnė medinė bažnyčia. Nuo 1899 m. pradėta rūpintis dabartinės Šv. Jono krikštytojo bažnyčios statyba. Ji užtruko, nes 1902 m., pakirstas ankstyvos ligos, mirė fundatorius kunigaikštis M. Oginskis. 1914 m. prasidėjo Pirmasis pasaulinis karas. Krašto gyventojai buvo nuskurdinti karo. Tada ir pradėta keisti projektą – architekto Karlo Strandmano projektas buvo supaprastintas, atsisakyta pagrindinio bažnyčios akcento – kupolo. Neogotikos stilius tapo neoromantiniu. Statybos darbai baigti tik po 28 metų (truko nuo 1902 iki 1933 m.).

Dabar bažnyčia kartu su varpine priklauso Plungės Šv. Jono Krikštytojo bažnyčios pastatų kompleksui, kuris yra įtrauktas į nekilnojamųjų kultūros vertybių registrą. Ši varpinė yra viena vertingiausių šios rūšies klasicizmo stiliaus pastatų Plungės rajone. Ją 1850 m. pastatė grafas A. Zubovas. Pasakojama, kad 1861 m. iš šios varpinės balkono tardytojas Mykolas Dobševičius perskaitė manifestą apie baudžiavos panaikinimą. Dabar Plungės varpinėje yra 5 varpai. Pats vertingiausias senasis suskilęs ir jau nebenaudojamas varpas. Jis išlietas 1646 m. Vilniuje Jono Brutenio.   

[EN] The St. John`s Baptist Church is neoromantic, the plan is of the Latin cross style, and it has two towers. The predecessor of the current church was the wooden church of St. John`s Baptist that was built in 1797. In 1899 constructions of current church began.  

The construction of the church took time because it was tiring and difficult. First, the works stopped due to early illness and the death  (in 1902) of the inventor and main sponsor Duke M. Oginskis. Unfortunately, his widow Mary refused to continue supporting the construction of the church, and second, in 1914, the First World War began. The inhabitans of Plungė were impoverished by the War, therefore the original project of the church was changed, it was made simple and more affordable at that time, and to complete the church took 28 years in 1933.

Now the church together with the belfry belongs to the building complex of St. John the Baptist Church in Plungė, which is included in the register of immovable cultural values. The belfry was built before the church by the count Zubovas and it is said that in 1861 from its balcony the interrogator Mykolas Dobševičius read a manifesto about the abolition of slavery. Now there are 5 bells in the Belfry and one of them is original which was cast in 1646 By J. Brutens in Vilnius.
