These caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.
WHAT: World Wide Flash Mob XVIII
A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world. Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering at the same time. Sonny and Sandy of the PodCacher podcast came up with the WWFM idea in 2007 after attending a mega-event. It was meant to be a fun “opposite” of a mega-event: all the cool aspects of a geocaching event, crammed into 15 minutes of excitement. An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW" - World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day at (mostly) the same time!
A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.
There is no official theme this year.
WHEN: Saturday, September 18, 2021 1:00 pm - 1:30pm +
This Flash Mob is gathering of geocachers that will be only 30 minutes long and will be happening the same date all over the world.
WHERE: James Day Park, Sheffield Village, OH At the Leo Sheets Picnic Shelter.
WHY: To have fun with your fellow geocachers, trade stories, possibly win a Door Prize, etc.

Not a rigid time line!
Until 1:00 PM : Get here early. Stay not far from, though not right at the posted coords, somewhere you can see GZ, and act like a muggle.
1:00 PM : Enjoy the fun spirit of the WWFM! Gather up quickly at the posted coords! Sign log sheet(optional), trade trackables and swap stories.
1:20 PM : Raffle time!!!
1:25 PM : PHOTO time! Gather for group photo(optional).
1:30 PM : Event Ends. Or not.

NOTE: There will NOT be an official Geocaching.com Souvenir this year in 2021.
There will be a basket for Travel Bug exchange.
After the event is over, plan to meet up with other geocachers to spend a fun day caching! If you haven't been in this area before, there are quite a few caches in the near vicinity and many more within a few mile radius. Have fun!Plenty of nearby parking
