About Gordonvale Station
The Gordonvale railway station is located on the North Coast line. Its passenger service "The Spirit of Queensland" runs a once daily service between Brisbane and Cairns stopping at the station's only platform if there is a pre-booked reservation. The station is dwarfed by the MSF sugar mill which operates for approximately 6 months per year during "crushing season".
Whilst in the area, why not take some time to walk the recently opened Bungara Heritage Trail? You can walk all the way from here to the Greenpatch Campground and read the interpretive signs along the way. This trail follows the main railway some of the way and the cane railway the whole way to the campground.
Happy hunting and watch out for the green ants!
