Lancaster PB812 was on a navigational exercise from RAF Binbrook when it dived in to the ground at 3.50pm on February 10 1945 with the loss of all 6 crew. All are buried in Cambridge city cemetery. A smaller, sister memorial plaque is fixed to the wall outside St Vincent, Caythorpe.
