1st World War Memorial. c1920. Ashlar. Finely carved memorial in the form of a churchyard cross. A square plinth stands on 2 octagonal steps. The plinth is inscribed with the 14 names of the Fallen from the parish. Above rises an octagonal shaft with carved crucifix on top. An unusual feature is the group of Mother and Child to the rear of Christ. This well-designed and finely carved War Memorial forms a group with the Church of St.Mary.
