GMC #11: Killler Kuckoo Klock 2

About This Location.

A commercial welder for over 33 years, Carl Witt of Marion County has always been interested in antique clocks. That interest led him to renowned clock repairman Charles Decker. The two instantly become good friends, and Decker offered to teach Carl the art of clock repair. After three years, Witt decided to strike out on his own, that's when Curiosity Clockworks became a reality.

Carl offers antique clock repair and sales, and also makes in-home visits for grandfather and grandmother clocks. At the turn of the century, every home had a clock. German, French, and English clockmakers produced clocks of every imaginable shape and size including grandfather, camelbacks, and mantle types.

Over time, these clocks eventually wear out and stop working. Enter Carl Witt and his clock repair business where he literally turns back time. "I've always liked to bring them back to life, it keeps the past alive. They were a living mechanism 100 to 200 years ago, and they're still alive" Witt said.

About This Cache.

This is the second home for this gothic clock and an appropriate spot for it. All you need to open the lock are 3 sequential numbers… but there are plenty of choices here. It’s time to find the code…

Carl has graciously granted permission for the placement of this cache, which is actually at his house! Carl invites geocachers to travel to the far ends of the county to visit him, but please be respectful of his property and only cache during daylight hours. If you see Carl out working, stop by to say hi!

THANKS FOR VISITING!
