SK: Lokalita Svetové dedičstvo je špecifická lokalita, ktorá bola navrhnutá, ako kandidát medzinárodného programu svetového dedičstva spravovaného UNESCO. Cieľom programu je katalogizovať a zachovať kultúrne a prírodné miesta mimoriadneho významu ako spoločné dedičstvo ľudstva. Program bol založený na základe "Dohody o ochrane svetového kultúrneho a prírodného dedičstva" prijatej na konferencii UNESCO 16. novembra 1972 , ktorá sa uskutočnila v Paríži. Zoznam obsahuje 1121 lokalít, z toho 869 kultúrnych, 213 prírodných a 39 zmiešaných lokalít nachádzajúcich sa v 167 štátoch (stav v roku 2020). (zdroj: Wikipedia)
