Geocache Description:

Number 1596 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.

The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

Cache is not at the published coordinates:

You can find the cache by…

  1. Visiting the fine pair at the published coordinates.

  2. On the postbox find these numbers:
    HPab cde
    CPf
    Let Y=a(e-c)(e-c).((b*2)-1)(f+d)

  3. Walk to the large standing stone (not the smaller memorial stone) in the middle of Ibstone Common and taking a reading of your distance from the posted coordinates of this fine pair, i.e. how far have you just walked in km?

Let X be this distance multiplied by 6.074

  4. The cache can be found X km away on a bearing of Yº from the published coordinates (i.e. the fine pair). This is a short drive to the suggested parking followed by another short walk. You can check your final coords are good enough using the checker below.

Important Note:
Please do not remove the self-inking stamp from this cache.

Congratulations to Team Carrington for the FTF!
