Geocache Description:

This Cache is located in a gated community, to get past the security at the gate just tell them you are going down town to eat in a restaurant they can not refuse you entry. If you are stoped at a second security check tell them you are going to the public access to the water again they can not deny you access.
Chac-Hal-al. Is a small Mayan ruin, one of many scattered up and down the coast. Used as a refuge for Mayan fishermen and tradesmen plying up and down the coast in dugout canoes. It dates back to 1325-1521. The first part of the beach is rocky so proper foot wear is a must. Please respect the private property at the end and stay within 20 meters  to the water. You can scoot around a sign to gain access to the ruins
